was modifying the store settings when suddenly the admin pages for the store became inaccessible. It appears that other Shopify websites are also experiencing this problem. After attempting to resolve it today, the issue still persists.
he was(may still is) type of people trying to control people, exactly like the current OpenAI's Sam, why they have that kind of mindset, build in their DNA?
the dependency of LLMs is very clear, without opensource, there is no LLMs, zero! not just LLMs, almost all AI/Machine-learning training are using linux, Slurm, python, i work in the HPC/ML field, include hardward/software/administration, i know this firsthand.
i do believe what they said about Altman "was not consistently candid in his communications with the board.", based on my understanding, altman did proved his dishonest behavior from he did to openai, turned non-profit into for-profit and open source model to closed-source one. and even worst, people seems totally accepted this type of personality, the danger is not the AI itself, is the AI will be built by AltmanS!
> dishonest behavior from he did to openai, turned non-profit into for-profit and
Yes and it's perfectly obvious that he did this without the consent of the board and behind their backs. A bit absurd don't you think? How would that even work?
> will be built by AltmanS
Why are you so certain most other people on the OpenAI board or their upper management are that different? Or hold very different views?
>>Yes and it's perfectly obvious that he did this without the consent of the board and behind their backs. A bit absurd don't you think? How would that even work?
i don't know, i don't have answer for that. but meta open-sourced llama-2, did what openai supposes to do.

at least they have the guts to fire him and let the world know about Altman "was not consistently candid in his communications with the board.".
Ideally it is to have greater access to resources by taking investment money and paying for top talent with profit sharing agreements, in order to ultimately further the goals of the nonprofit.
the outcome of this for-profit subsidiary is already showing in real-time, they just want to take everything from openai into for-profit for their own benefit, that is a fraud by definition, which means taking something is not theirs. one good example is Flash mob in LA, yours belongs to me, same culture, same behavior. to your "Ideally world", its very simple, Microsoft could simply just donate $10b to openai, they can share the open-sourced model.
that is what i thought, when Sam was fired, i think he is kind of people can be replaced by AI generated something ( ai-ceo ), not that complicate compare to engineer or scientist. and another replaceable one is Satya Nadella. and the ai-ceo maybe much less evil than them, since they are the one convert ( i am not sure if they committed fraud ) the non-profit, open source entity to for-profit and closed source entity.
yeah, Elon Musk invested tons of money to start openai as non-profit to make sure this openai thing is for all, not for couple of people to shine themself.
It's a hell of a cloud too. Geforce Now performs several times better than Microsoft's crappy offering, xCloud (or whatever it's called now).
Nvidia made some really amazing strides in the past few years, taking over cloud gaming where Onlive and Stadia utterly failed, making DLSS, etc.
I just hope they don't abandon us gamers for their AI stuff :( Probably the entire gaming market is way smaller than the potential AI market, just hopefully not too small to matter.
