Most people who have been programming for a while should have those skills. If they don't then learning AI is not the issue but communication is.

I find it funny that it only prints the headlines from reddit, true reddiots only read the headlines and the comments.

I am so disappointed that Marketplace killed craigslist. Marketplace search is awful. It is probably the worst shopping I have experienced.

The disappointment needs to be directed at Craigslist, which sat on its hands and let FB eat their lunch.

And while FB marketplace search kinda sucks the algorithm is supremely effective at surfacing listings based on your searches and activity.

I use marketplace to search for cars, and the algorithm is beyond frustrating. I just want some decent filters. How a company that big can create something so terrible is beyond me.

No. It means eventually existing users will be affected too. These companies are deeply in the red.

They could help more people but by replacing you they might just create another person who may also need help.

I've lived long enough to know that "smart" folks can be extremely dumb.

There are people who are naturally gifted and intelligent. These people can just pick up and learn different things on their own.

There are also people who do well at certain tasks and their life allowed them to obtain a higher education.

For example, I used to assume doctors were smart. However, the reality is that a small number of doctors are smart/intelligent people. Others are just going by the book, you throw them a curve ball and they fold. This applies to people at Meta, Google, NASA, and any organization.

I would argue smart/intelligent people see the negative impact of things BEFORE it affects THEM directly, there were people whistleblowing the real impact of smoking, fossil fuels before the information became public and well known.

It makes it more accessible. The amount of people who can prompt chatGPT is significantly higher than the amount of people who can edit a photo in photoshop and make it perfect.

I've wrote a warehouse management system, and other apps for a medium sized business. It is running the business. I helped changed how the business operates. However, I really did not create anything that has not existed before.

I just learned how to write code and applied it. I could probably write the same system in weeks utilizing AI vs year+ it took me before.

I have fixed feelings about AI, on one hand I hate tedious coding tasks, writing tests, fixing small logical bugs. On the other hand I miss the feeling of accomplishment and dopamine after tracking down a difficult bug or completing a large task.

I also do find it funny how large businesses are embracing AI but AI can empower smaller devs to create products that will compete with large business. I do wonder how the future will look like.
