I recently found out that Typescript doesn't follow semver correctly and introduces breaking changes in minors.

There is this super old discussion which explains the reasoning behind it being practicality and marketing.

They don’t follow it incorrectly either. They just monotonically increase the decimal version for every non-patch release. They do tend to consolidate more disruptive changes to .0 and .5 though.

I always thought the timing was kinda weird. Especially cause they didn't wait to replace me before firing me.

The acquisition seemed a bit too early (6 months after launch) to be entirely voluntary. I assumed that the funding had dried up or the offer was just too insanely good.

Yeah, my compensation (sub 100k) was also way too low to even think about accepting something like this.

When comparing actual hours worked I make more in my current "normal" job.

I started 2023 by getting my dream job, then was fired after 3 weeks, got involved in politics, made apps for sex positive parties, was invited to consult on a new price transparency law, and much more.
