You know I could let my dog look at your page and see if he barks :)

I haven't thought about the variety of the 40 eyes reviewers yet, I was still concerned to get all the people together but yesterday I got a lot of new reviewers on board. I offer the reviewers two options, they can give an anonymous review if they feel the need for it (so they can give their best roast) but they are supposed to link a social media account to their review so people can follow up with them. That would be a way how you could see how diverse the crowd was and if they all have a technical background or so.

In the next release I plan to offer a better interface to explore the many-eyes-reviews and for new reviewers to join the review process.

It could also backfire to force the people to do it. Maybe there are people who refuse the vaccinations now because they are not allowed to choose on their own anymore.

Initially I tried to get the users to summarize articles, users can actually send their own summaries on every article already (when you click on +more on the card). It would start with a robot summary and people would correct it or extend important points to it. But that only works if I have users :) And then a weekly summary would be easy to achieve.

I like the idea of user curated summaries much more, the scrolling is a bit distracting. Short news articles are surely attractive, if they are summarized by the community and the community checks if the summary is unbiased I might use that.

Bias and long articles are the reason I added the summaries, I think if a summary extracts the most important points the bias and the fluff around it could get removed. Maybe this solves the bias problem.

Sometime its just a single feature that makes a difference. There are tons of news aggregators out there but I decided to build my own anyways, because it updates the website automatically without that I have to scroll. After I build it I realized that I use it as a "second-screen website" where the news just runs over the site like a ticker. I don't have a lot of visitors, but the ones that come stay for a long time, that is great! http://www.uptopnews.com/

It's not for mobile but a while ago I made a little prototype for a news-stream that scrolls all by itself and it has a tech section. Do you like the concept? Its http://www.uptopnews.com/

What I worry about is that an increasing population also means an increasing "surface area" where diseases can occur in the first place, not just that they spread faster.

How does this work behind the scenes?

Books have been mentioned already, maybe listening to lectures can help because you will realize it quickly once you loose your attention. Khan academy's lecture videos are great too.

At least there is a live demo, I see so many GitHub projects where a screenshot or a live demo would say more then a thousand words. Checking out a repo and trying to run it is a big hurdle.

It is nonsense but it made me laugh :) I see potential in nonsense memes!
