Protecting children is a real problem, the internet right now is doing massive damage to everyone (not only children but for some reason we don't protect adults). Opportunists are seeing the opportunity to paperclip mass surveillance onto actual child protection efforts.
We can fight this by supporting child protection mechanisms that don't act as mass surveillance, such as the one in California that merely reports whether root said the user is a child, and fighting ones that do, such as the one in New York that checks your ID.
Protecting children is not a problem for the government's who are pushing this through. It is, however, a problem for parents. And for the children that are getting the raped.
It should be noted that it was not a major priority for government's to bring justice for the victims of the Epstein class or for the 250 thousand children that got sexually abused in the UK.

Just quickly deobfuscated the payload as well (this is fun). It's a cross-platform infostealer that would've taken your browser cookies, saved passwords, clipboard, and different files including crypto wallets, documents and images.
Their C2 is 144.172.115[.]116 (RouterHosting LLC / Cloudzy in Utah, USA) on ports 8085-8087 over HTTP and WebSockets.

Always use a VM for this kind of stuff, even if you're interviewing at Google. More advanced threat actors could also fake Github stars or NPM downloads, or even use a hijacked dependency that used to be legitimate.

I have to confess I'm not sure. :( Searching for vacancy rate shows that is around 9%. I would expect these are owned by someone, though, such that I don't know why they would not be counted as investments?
Doing the same search for "owner occupied" shows only around 50%, though. I don't know where to get the data that teases apart housing units and standalone houses.
Where are you seeing 9% vacancy rate in California? According to FRED, the current rental vacancy rate in CA is below 5, and the current home vacancy rate is below 1.

I know that my main assertion there was it was a relatively lower number. Adding it to the 19 of this story would still leave owner occupied higher than 50ish. Such that I clearly need help to put a lot of this together.
It's a shame that modern browsers don't optimize SVG to be processed in the GPU. It has plenty of potential, not only feTurbulence, but many other effects as well. And being able to use SVG masks on standard HTML elements would also open a bunch of creative opportunities.
Unfortunately, as you say, it's very easy to freeze a GPU if you start doing more complex SVGs.
My wife recently got her O1 visa approved and I'll be getting an O3 as dependent. I currently have an app that I'm actively developing that generates $50-$100 per month. I might be able to stop development, but at the very least would need to support the customers. I also have some product ideas I'd like to build and potentially monetize.
So the only argument is that the token window is a disadvantage for languages that use more tokens for an equivalent program. But token windows are only getting bigger, and there's also no need to fit the entire codebase in a single prompt.
If anything, it sounds like ruby on rails should've been _the past_ of AI. But it clearly wasn't.
