Is "being mocked" not also "facing the rage of many"? What do you imagine with the latter that would be so much worse?

I assume that "you didn't warn us" and "why are you so pessimistic" would lead to different scale of anger.

I actually didn't smell AI at all while reading this article, because the idea density seemed high, rather than when AI just expands a few ideas into repetitive mumbo jumbo. The last portion was a bit wordy and metaphysical, but he landed the plane at the end.

Seems like a good reminder of https://xkcd.com/2347/

What is the CPU/GPU architecture of this and how could a collaboration between whoever made it and Nvidia possibly outperform Apple Silicon?

MediaTek designed X925 + A725 CPU. It's already been benchmarked in the GB10 products. It is not even close. Like 0.75x SPECint 2017 of the M5.

Good luck, and please don't be discouraged if it takes 20 launches to figure out what works! That's completely normal.

Time is money, and it's easier to negotiate with a dealer from whom you're buying a car than to coordinate many meetings with randos on Craigslist.

Don't forget the mortgage interest deduction as well, which is a huge subsidy for those who can afford to buy.

2 years ago AI coding agents had barely emerged yet, right? Couldn't have gotten good results even if a good engineer was forced to use it...

People in the know already had coding agents, they just needed a lot more back and forward as they weren't trained to be "agentic" and they were mostly cli based... then claude code was born because anthropic saw the potencial. The person in question used warp.dev which happened to bundle AI into so they stumbled into it more than anything.

This feels like the example of (world-famous violinist) Joshua Bell playing violin in the DC subway and getting just a few bucks. It's totally different than paying money to see him in a concert hall, context matters so much...
