this is irrelevant topic, for one, and it's also irrelevant in terms of even getting a voice! Once you go to prison for what this guy did (1st degree murder with a sledge hammer) your rights are no more. And when you have no rights, you don't even have a voice on the matter. You are to rot the rest of your fcking life in a jail cell. (period)

It sucks when someone gets murdered with a hammer, to put it lightly. That's why we ostensibly put murderers in jail: to keep them from killing again, to deter others, and perhaps to rehabilitate them. But your comment shows another motive, one that I find a lot less defensible: revenge. You want the criminals to suffer, in a perpetual act of state-sponsored sadism.

I don't want that. I wish other people didn't. It just feels sick to me.

Amature crack for an amature protection.

No, Facebook doesn't share this information - you do! Let's be clear here. Those who are dumb enough to put their PII data on Facebook and the alike are sharing their information. My God, can we stop blaming someone else for our stupidity?

Facebook is in a weird middle spot between totally public and totally private. You log in, and you primarily interact with friends, but then a friend can allow an application to programmatically access your data... People have problems parsing the situation. Further, Facebook used to be much more private, and the constant adjustment of goalposts doesn't help.

I feel anyone who abstruct justice by withholding evidence should automatically go to jail. This guy was railroaded on so many levels, the DA should go sit in jail for same amount of time this innocent person did.

I can't understand why anyone who is in the know would sign up for this. I work at a fortune-5 corp where Oracle was once king and is being replaced with Microsoft SQL simply due to the outrageous price gouging. It's as if Oracle is trying to squeeze every last penny out of it's aging database as OSS solutions chip away at its profits. PostgreSQL is, in my opinion, poised to do this. MySQL just pales in comparison to Postgres and Oracle is kitchen sink and then some -- even at a fortune 5 we barely use all the "features" in Oracle.

I'm just astonished that a company like Oracle being around as long as they are could be so dumb. At the fortune-5, Oracle has a similar practice of gouging us on Peoplesoft licenses due to, in my opinion, lost DB sales.

Charging a customer a license by CPU core is just unethical.

It's a no wonder... Go riddance

It's good Jobs attempts to lay out his reasoning with facts but his facts are not all that correct.

Flash has been ported to mobile device. Windows Automotive, a version of WindowsCE, has flash. The Ford Sync system's front UI is completely flash and action script. I know because I work on the system.

I mostly agree with Jobs reasoning though. He makes very good points but it would be nice if he could get his facts right.
