Abstract | Software Engineer | San Francisco | Remote or Onsite | Fulltime
Wanna work for a diverse and inclusive company that puts people first? Here at Abstract women represent a third of our employees, two-thirds of senior leadership and half of our investor board. African American and Latinx employees represent 20% of our company. LBGTQ+ people represent at 14% of our company.
If you've got solid experience in Obj C, C++ or Go then reach out so we can talk! We care more about your ability to learn and solve problems than your specific language experience.
All the engineers I work with are PHP guys too, so it might be beneficial as I can use them as a resource. Then again, node.js may be the next big thing so I could get ahead of the curve...
I'm a developer as well and used to have this same problem. Now I make sure to blink more often and I use eye drops, either red eye or dry eye (both work fine) and I also switched to a matte screened monitor. I had a glossy one before and after I switched them up, the problem started going away.
Not to mention there is much more of a precedence to have business models now than there was back in the 90's. That's not to say everyone has one (ahem, Twitter) but it's better than just an idea on a napkin in 1999.
