New ThinkPads still have these! They have trackpads too but you can disable them in the bios to avoid accidental clicks.

Yeah I just genuinely want the option of no touchpad at all, the much loved X200 was the last mode that offered this.

I know what you mean. They somehow irritate my skin in a way that doesn't make any sense for a smooth surface to do.
