An article about a paradigm shift due to astrobiology (or at least, framed as that) and not one mention of assembly theory. The article is actually about some culty sounding amorphous phrase called "the planetary." Here's a quote:

Hogwash.
There is some interesting stuff in there though. Something about biospheres maturing enough to form feedback loops to maintain habitability. Somehow still racing towards collapse though even in light of that. There's also some stuff about self organization and intelligence being innate to natural processes, which I think is probably true.
