I'm not sure the mods really censor. Users can flag for whatever, often being politics rather than tech.

They do. Not unflagging an important story is just as much censorship as flagging it yourself. And it happens here a hell of a lot.

Try and make a post questioning what stories get unflagged, or asking about moderation logs, or even asking for a debate on the flagging system. It will be rapidly removed; and if you ask for permission it will be denied.

That's censorship, and it has been getting more and more extreme. But you can't post about it - guess why.
