There's already so much bicycle-hate in this city (mainly towards couriers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmHRnA780WM ), that I can imagine it getting out of hand.

Most of the people it would effect are cab drivers/drivers-for-hire and delivery trucks/vans. Everyone else who drives daily in the city is, imho, an asshole ;)
